Had my 6 month teeth cleaning/checkup this morning and all's fine. Yay. I love my dentist, Dr. Kestler - sweetest man ever, but I still get nervous when it's time to visit him. He understands though - he said he hates going to the dentist himself.

At least it wasn't raining this morning. Gah, we had a monsoon here yesterday, raining so hard I couldn't see at one point. Scared the bejeesus out of me. I think we had five inches in about four hours - streets were flooded everywhere. An absolute mess. And people in those big ass trucks and SUVs thinking it's fine for them to just speed through the flooded streets, sending waves of water into people's businesses. Jerks.

Got some more dvds from the library. An old Ingrid Bergman one I haven't seen yet, Adam Had Four Sons; an Italian Isabella flick called The Sky Is Falling - a not very good movie set in WWII. Felt like an average tv movie. Not helping matters was that all audio quit after chapter 6 - something I was prepared for after reading reviews on Amazon. Even though I was able to follow along because it's subtitled, no sound pretty much sucked. Oh, also got a Rita Hayworth/Fred Astaire movie which should be fun! And I was glad to see there were a few Lena movies available - Enemies, Chocolat, and Hollywood Homicide.
