Hmmm, it's been a while since I updated this thing. Believe me, nobody's missing anything. Heh.

Every day has been mostly consumed with dealing with dad. The medicine does seem to be helping but he's still moody as hell, and it's like a damn rollercoaster with him each day. He totally freaked out over a statement he got on his Sears card - we had to spend time calming him down and sorting that out. Turns out he got all upset over nothing - he mistakenly read it as saying he owed almost $100 when actually he had a credit of that amount. Well, then he was happy as a kid at Christmas.

He's definitely feeling his mortality creeping up on him, and talks to me and my sisters about how he needs to get "right with God". This has lead to some long, drawn out conversations, some quite awkward - I really could've done without the one about sex. Geez. We certainly have learned some interesting things about him lately, one which really shocked the hell out of me.

Oh well, onto other things.

Congrats to Kakan's mama for lucking up and seeing Lena in the flesh at the doctor's office in Skåne, Sweden! Too. Freakin'. Cool!!

Been watching some old Claudia Cardinale movies. One that was a fun swashbuckler, "Cartouche" (with the sexy Jean Paul Belmondo), one that was really bad, "I Guappi", and another that wasn't a whole lot better, "Les Pétroleuses", but the latter did feature her singing a goofy song that amused me hugely.

TV wise, I've been loving "The Amazing Race" - dang but that's a fun, exciting show. Mirna and Charla are completely cracking me up! Love them and their entertaingly ditzy ways. Also very impressed with Dennis Leary's new show "Rescue Me" about NYPD firefighters. Just brilliant.
